Frenectomy is very common, very easy procedure. A lot of the newborns who cannot due to the muscles, a lot of them have tongue that just can’t move. The muscle attachment can prevent them from nursing properly with the mothers.
Frenectomy is very easy procedure. It helps them. It helps them to relieve the stress on those muscles and therefore it allows them to freely get the ability to use the muscles around the face, upper face and the lower lips to latch on for the mother’s milk.
But more importantly, it helps the mothers to also give them certain type of foods. Too often baby will not eat certain type of foods. As they get into the one-year, two-year stage, some babies wouldn’t even prefer eating eggs.
Some babies wouldn’t even eating certain type of foods because of the texture. Frenectomy, if it’s required, it makes life so much easier for these babies to acquire this strength in early phases of their life to get the muscle memory that they are lacking as they get older.
