Read MoreSome of the most common reasons you may need oral surgery are removing a tooth that is too damaged to save, extracting wisdom teeth that are painful or causing dental problems, removing teeth for dentures or other restorations, or preparing for dental implants with a bone graft or other procedure.
Your dental insurance or medical insurance may cover a portion of your oral surgery. We recommend you check with your individual carriers to find out what they will and won’t pay for before you have any work done. That way, there aren’t any big surprises in store for you. As a convenience, we offer third-party financing through CareCredit, Sunbit, or Cherry.
You should not exercise at all for 24 hours following your oral surgery. Doing too much too soon can actually slow the healing process. For example, vigorous exercise can loosen the blood clot on an extraction site and cause dry socket. After the first day, perform only low-impact exercises for several more days as a precaution.
